It is clear that King Charles III is desperate for Prince Harry and Prince William to have a positive relationship again after becoming estranged from one another in recent years.

Considering his recent cancer diagnosis, the King likely has some things he wants to address and solve before his time comes to an end, and the relationship between his two sons is one of them.

The 75-year-old is expected to take the lead when it comes to various bridges being mended within the family, rather than wait for it to happen naturally.

There are not thought to be any plans for Harry to return to the United Kingdom as a working royal, but the King would like the pair to meet and talk about their differences openly. He wants this to happen in Scotland where he hopes to have the entire family present later this year.

One of the King’s motivations is almost certainly that he rarely gets to see his grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, as they are living in the United States of America with Harry and Meghan Markle.

Recently, royal commentary revealed that King Charles has also kept an open invitation for Prince Harry, Markle, and their young children to join him at Balmoral.

Royal author Nick Bullen shared: “We all know things are still very tense between William and Harry, but I think the king does want to repair [things]… There is probably an open invitation to visit the king whenever they can. And he would love to see them.”
