The sisters likely won’t become working royals.

Earlier this month, Princes William and Harry’s cousins, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, attended the Sovereign’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace to support their cousin and their uncle, King Charles.
And although the sisters likely won’t be taking on working royal duties, Prince William does hope to extend the invite to his cousins going forward. William’s other cousins, Peter Philipps and Zara Tindall (Princess Anne’s two children), as well as Zara’s husband Mike Tindall, were also invited to the event, which is part of William’s plans to invite more family members.
The Telegraph reported that William “would be keen to extend similar invitations again, in the spirit of including the wider family, as his grandmother once did.” A source told the outlet that Eugenie and Beatrice are happy to support their family during this difficult time amid Kate Middleton and King Charles’s ongoing cancer battles.

“They’re very willing to step up and do more at this current time, to help,” the insider explained. “They’re very fond of their cousin [William] and their uncle [King Charles], and they want to do everything they can to support them. And they believe in the institution they grew up in.”

Hello‘s royal editor, Emily Nash, agreed with the sentiment that the sisters were there to provide support to their cousin while key players of the Firm, like Kate Middleton, are out of commission.
“Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their cousins were at the garden party to support the Prince of Wales because the princess is continuing her recovery, but they are not taking on official roles,” Nash said. “They’ve attended royal engagements in the past, sometimes ‘in attendance’ with the late queen, for example, so they might appear at other events over the summer as members of the king’s family.”
Eugenie documented the soirée with an Instagram carousel of images capturing her and other attendees under umbrellas during the rainy gathering.
“Come rain or shine, I was delighted to support my family yesterday to meet some special individuals at the Buckingham Palace Garden Party who have gone above and beyond to support their local communities and the country,” she wrote alongside the photos.
