Currently, she is among the most famous musicians in the world. Her stock has risen at a rate comparable to that of Elvis Presley and the Beatles, and she can attract tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of admirers to each location where she performs.
However, rumour has it that even Taylor Swift may have an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction every now and again.
Last weekend, the 34-year-old singer sang three sold-out concerts in Stockholm. The Swedish capital welcomed an estimated 150,000–200,000 visitors, with some flying in all the way from the United States.
The three musical nights were transformed into gold by Swift’s touch, as is typical of her recent work. The result was nothing short of great reviews and increased anticipation for Swift’s Eras Tour.
On the third night of her Stockholm performance, Swift had a minor wardrobe malfunction in front of the sold-out arena, which gave the impression that she might be mortal after all.
Reportedly, the superstar’s blue dress parted at the waist as she was preparing to sit down at the piano, exposing her gold bralette and glittering black shorts.
Swift, ever the consummate professional, wasted no time in readjusting her outfit before settling into a heartfelt performance of her never-live-before smash “How Did It End?”
That could have been it; after all, other performers have had considerably bigger stage disasters in the past. However, the internet as it is now is just the internet as it is.
Some people on TikTok were eager to try to discredit the Bad Blood singer as soon as the video of Swift’s outfit bursting over the internet reached them.
They resemble diapers on her. “Very unflattering,” one Facebook user commented.
“Those seem like granny pants…they look really nice on her 😂,” another Instagram user commented.
A third person even went so far as to say the celebrity might be pregnant. “Umm… appearing somewhat round on the lower abdomen”. Is there something she wants us to know? They penned it.
The dress slide was deemed “intentional” by a fourth person.
“Well she is used to taking her clothes off soo,” a fifth sharply wrote.
Furthermore, a sixth individual mysteriously chimed in with: “She’s a hot mess [and] has been!”
Like the other criticisms mentioned before, “has been” is obviously incorrect. Unfortunately, there isn’t much you can do to silence naysayers in these kinds of situations, and we have no doubt that Taylor has moved past the point where she cares about their opinions.
