When the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick decided to part ways after the 2023 regular season, there was no doubt that he would have many potential suitors as he is considered one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. After both the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles were bounced in the wild-card round of this years playoffs, many believed these could be two potential landing spots for Belichick.

However, a recent report has emerged stating that Belichick actually had no interest in going to Dallas or Philly and the reason came as a surprise to many. It appears as though Belichick is done with coaching in a big market media, like he did for the past 24 years in New England.

It seems as if Coach Belichick wants to finish his coaching career in a smaller market like Atlanta. The Falcons appear to be the front-runners for Belichick’s services as they conducted a second interview with the legendary coach earlier this week.

Atlanta would be a good fit as they play in a weak division and have a roster loaded with young talent, however they would need to address the quarterback position this off season to have a legitimate chance at a Super Bowl run.

Belichick won 6 Super Bowls during his tenure in New England, the most by any head coach in NFL history and currently sits third with 302 regular season wins, only behind George Halas (318) and Don Shula (328).
