The Minnesota Vikings would like to keep Kirk Cousins around for next season, though that might prove a tall task with the veteran quarterback heading into free agency while reportedly unwilling to sign a one-year deal.

The Vikings are also thought to be looking at possibilities in the upcoming NFL Draft and, according to the Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling, they would not pass up on an opportunity to trade up.

“If they’re going to take one, it’s going to be someone we love or we’re not doing it. If you have to give up a couple first-round picks for future years, I don’t think they’d bat an eye at that,” Goessling told Paul Allen during an appearance on KFAN this week.

Minnesota has the No. 11 pick in the draft right now and might not want to risk missing out on the top QB prospects. So a trade is definitely possible.

Their move is likely going to be contingent on their negotiations with Cousins, however.
