Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Reese Witherspoon have made Forbes’ America’s Richest Self-Made Women list, a compilation of the most successful female entrepreneurs, executives, and entertainers in the United States.

Rihanna, 35, is the most successful self-made woman in music on the list, beating Taylor to land at the 20th spot with a net worth of $1.4 billion.

Swift, 33, the second most-successful musical artist on the list, ranks at number 34 with a net worth of $740 million.

While Rihanna has surpassed Taylor, Forbes attributes the source of her wealth to two different streams of income – her music and cosmetics empire, Fenty Beauty. Taylor’s music is listed as her source of wealth.

The uber-successful Pon de Replay singer co-owns Fenty Beauty with the French luxury retailer LVMH. Last year, Fenty Beauty’s revenue doubled. She also has a 30% stake in Savage x Fenty lingerie line, and in 2021 the company was valued at $1 billion.

Reality star turned businesswoman Kim, 42, follows close behind Rihanna at number 21, with a net worth valued at $1.2 billion.

The social media sensation derives her income from her shapewear company SKIMS and skincare line.

Most of her wealth is derived from her stake in her shapewear company.

As for Reese, the multi-hyphenate entertainer comes in at #59 with a net worth of $440 million.

According to Forbes, she is the richest actress in the world, and she reportedly earned $20 million for starring in just 10 episodes of her hit series The Morning Show.

Madonna, 64, landed at #45 with $580 million while Beyonce, 41, came in at #48 with $540 million.

Beyonce, who has branched out into fashion with her Ivy Park line, derives most of her wealth from her career as both a solo singer and time with Destiny’s Child.

Even Kim’s younger sister Kylie Jenner, 25, made the list. She ranks at #38 with a net worth valued at $680 million.

They cited the $600 million sale of her company, Kylie Cosmetics, to Coty, Inc. three years ago. Before tax, she took home $540 million from the sale and still retains a 44% ownership of the company.

Other musicians to land on the list include Celine Dion, 55, at #56 with $480 million net worth and Dolly Parton, 77, at #59 with $440 million

The majority of Celine’s wealth comes from her successful residencies in Las Vegas.

Barbra Streisand, 81, also made the list at #61 with a net worth of $430 million. On top of her stellar musical success, the EGOT-winner owns a compound in Malibu which could be worth around $80 million.

Talk show stars also made the list.

Oprah Winfrey, 69, was ranked at #13 with a $2.5 billion net worth while Ellen DeGeneres, 65, landed at #73 with $380 million.

Tennis pro Serena Williams also landed at the list at #89 with a $290 million net worth.

Showrunner icon Shonda Rhimes came in at #96 with a $250 million net worth.
