The Royal Family may not have reacted to the news of Meghan Markle’s upcoming cooking show publicly, however behind closed doors it seems the family are united in their thoughts on the Netflix series.
Meghan revealed just days into 2025 that her new cooking show “With Love, Meghan” will air on Netflix on January 15 for the first time.
The show will have eight episodes and will feature the Duchess of Sussex, 43, along with her celebrity friends as she cooks and hosts for them.
While previous ventures by Meghan and Prince Harry, who quit life as senior royals in 2020, have ruffled feathers in the Royal circle, it seems the same cannot be said for this show.
Instead, Richard Eden wrote in The Daily Mail how the Royal Family are reportedly not dreading this show and hope it will be a success.
Mr Eden was told by a Palace source: “Everyone wants it to be a success. And that’s because, if it is, she and Harry won’t need to exploit their royal connections again.
“The last thing anyone wants is another Spare, this time from Meghan.”
While tensions exist between the couple and the Royal Family, Harry and Meghan refrained from talking about the family negatively in 2024, which is believed to be as a result of King Charles and Princess Kates’ health scares.
This came after Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare in 2023, which threw various negative accusations at the Royal Family.

The couple also damaged relations with their royal relatives in 2022 when their Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan was released.
It is believed that the upcoming cooking show will focus purely on cooking and the joys of being around friends, with no mention of the Royal Family expected.
In the official description of the show, Netflix wrote: “Love is in the details. WITH LOVE, MEGHAN, a new series, premieres January 15th. This inspiring series, produced by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old.
“Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”
