MARK Wright and Michelle Keegan are expecting their first child together.

The couple – who have been married for nine years- announced Michelle, 37, is pregnant today with a touching post.

Michelle and Mark shared their happy news on Instagram on Sunday night.

They posted a photo of Michelle craddling her growing baby bump on the beach.

Michelle, dressed in a chic white outfit with an off-the-shoulder jumper and matching skirt, couldn’t stop smiling as Mark walked towards her, wearing a coordinated outfit.

They captioned the post: “2025 is going to be a special on

Michelle and Mark’s friends inundated them with messages after their Instagram post went live.

Mark’s brother Josh commented: “Over the moon for you both and can’t wait for our boys to meet your little one.”

His best friend James Argent said: “I love you and I’m so happy for you both.

Y”ou’re going to be amazing parents. I can’t wait to be an Uncle.”

Kelly Brook added: “This is amazing news,” while Helen Flanagan wrote: “So happy for you both.”

Former TOWIE star Samantha Faiers penned to the couple: “Huge congratulations x

And Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach wrote: “amazing, congratulations”

Their happy baby news comes after Michelle hit back at constant ‘sexist’ questions about when she would start a family.

Earlier this year, she said: “It’s horrible. People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s happening.

“In this day and age, you shouldn’t be asking questions like that. I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. But I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction, and as soon as I hear it I brush it off as it’s no one else’s business.”

Mark and Michelle married at St Mary’s Church in Bury St Edmunds in 2015, followed by a lavish reception at the Tudor mansion Hengrave Hall.

Since then, the couple have been inundated with work, as Michelle’s acting career has taken her all over the world and Mark, 37, has been busy with his role as a presenter on Heart FM, as well as various fitness initiatives.

Family dream

Over the years the pair have fielded questions about having children – but have made no secret about wanting a large family.

Back in 2018, Michelle told Women’s Health: “I’ve always been broody. I love kids, and I want four, so hopefully in the near future.”

While in 2019, Mark told us: “We say we’re going to try [for a baby] every year but something comes up with work. So it’ll be Michelle filming in South Africa and then I got the job in Los Angeles – so we think, right, we’ll try next year.”

He continued: “With kids, I used to want three or four. But now, I’m 31, we’re not having kids any time before 32. I think we could have two or three. Twins would be great because you’re getting two out of the way at once!”

Family home

The couple are certainly ready to start a family – having designed and built their dream home.

Beginning in 2021, the new build features five bedrooms, a state-of-the-art gym, a cinema room and an outdoor pool and a sauna.

Last August the couple threw a housewarming party to celebrate the completion of the project.

Speaking about dream mansion, Michelle admits to feeling emotional having realised a hard-won dream.

She told the Guardian: “It still gets me emotional. Because we’ve worked really hard for it. We’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices.

“I missed lots of milestones in my life due to work. Mark went to LA and we spent months apart, which was hard. But, it’s worth it.”

Michelle went on to say that the house was also “about security” as “you never know when all this is going to end”.

Love Story

The couple first met behind-the-scenes on the X Factor before subsequently bumping into each other at numerous other events after.

A year later, the former TOWIE star asked Michelle out on a date which led to things becoming official in 2012.

Mark popped the question to Michelle the following year during a romantic holiday in Dubai and they went on to marry in 2015.
