Shakira and Gerard Pique have been on the front page of every news outlet since their breakup. The couple separated a year ago after Pique cheated on Shakira, but they are still at war with each other. It seemed to have cooled down recently, but Shakira’s recent song might escalate things again.

The singer hilariously found out about the former defender cheating on her due to a strawberry jam bottle. This led her to immediately call quits on the relationship before destroying Pique and Clara Chia Marti in her diss song.

The song broke several records on YouTube as fans loved it. Pique, on the other hand, replied to the song soon in his own comic way. The controversy seemed to have cooled down but Shakira seems to have dissed Pique once again in her new song, Copa Vacia.

The Colombian singer recently released her new song, Copa Vacia, with Manuel Turizo. It has been reported that certain lyrics in the song point towards Pique and his lack of affection for Shakira. The reports have claimed that the soccer player failed to satisfy Shakira physically which has been mentioned in the songs.

The song lyrics are: “…Ask for warmth and you give me nothing but ice; I’ve been thirsty for a long time, from you I don’t know why….. “Always so busy with so much business….Relax here on the couch and give me your attention.”

It has also been speculated that Shakira knew about Pique’s infidelity even before the separation. This has been pointed out as the singer asks her partner to give him his attention and not ignore her in the song. It remains to be seen whether Shakira addresses these speculations about the song being about Pique.

Journalist destroys Shakira for exaggeration

While we already talked about the controversy between Pique and Shakira that has been going on since last year, it doesn’t seem to have gone down well with a journalist. Sussana Griso recently lashed out at Shakira for playing the victim ever since they broke up.

While talking on her show, Sussane said: “Hey, forgive me, but she seems like the only woman in the world who has separated, really. This is not pain, that is, there are things much more painful than a separation, and in any case, anyway… She is partly to blame for making it so public, huh? I mean… No, it’s that… It really tires me. It’s that it looks like the first one that happens to her.” (via El Nacional)

The journalist slammed Shakira for playing the victim when she made the whole thing public in the first place. The couple has been involved in drama like no other which is why the journalist pleaded with her to stop. It remains to be seen whether Shakira heeds the advice and begins to move on in life.
