John Cena’s Greatest of All Time list gets torn to shreds because of Hulk Hogan!

The world of WWE has been going not-so-greatly in recent times, especially with their former CEO Vince McMahon getting embroiled in controversies. With some stars carrying the weight of the wrestling league on their shoulders, the fans do not completely agree with them.

When superstar John Cena revealed a list of wrestlers that would, in his opinion, be the greatest of all time, the fans started trolling him. Although the three names on his list are indeed great wrestlers… people do not seem to share the same enthusiasm for Hulk Hogan.

With wrestlers around the world competing for the championship title or redemption through the amazing storylines of the WWE, the event is viewed and enjoyed by millions of people around the world.

Rooting for their favorite wrestlers, several of the WWE stars have received worldwide fame and love from the people for being purely iconic. John Cena, one of the most notable wrestlers and now a Hollywood actor as well, is one of those WWE stars. In an interview with Chris Van Wilet (via X), the wrestler/actor talked about who, in his opinion, are the greatest wrestlers of all time. The wrestler went on to name four wrestlers: Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Roman Reigns, and Hulk Hogan.

Although people agreed with Austin, Reigns, and The Rock, what the fans did not agree was that Hulk Hogan was on the list, too. Taking to X, people talked about how Hogan did not deserve the title of G.O.A.T. and that Cena sneakily slid Hogan into the list.

With people hating Hulk Hogan and praising John Cena for being too humble, the wrestler’s recent confession about the WWE had fans in shock. From character development to joining the Dark Side, John Cena talked about the internal workings of the WWE, and fans were left feeling incredulous!

Not that he was in the Star Wars franchise, but what we mean to say is that Cena’s character in the WWE was always kept as the hero. In an interview with Howard Stern on The Howard Stern Show, the wrestler admitted that he had very little creative freedom in the WWE and was only in charge of how his character was.

“I didn’t have a lot of wild creative freedom in WWE. I had complete creative freedom over how I could curate my character, but I couldn’t turn bad. That limits what you’re capable of,”

Imagining a villainous John Cena that is on a destructive path and would eventually get humbled by another wrestler or a brother sends chills down the spine. However, the dream (or nightmare) never turned out to be true because the WWE did not want the wrestler to have a negative (or evil) image. Cena was recently seen starring alongside Henry Cavill in the 2024 film Argylle, which was kind of a box-office failure.
