Getting the Kansas City Chiefs at Highmark Stadium for a playoff game didn’t really matter at all in the end as the Bills have lost yet another playoff game to their rival.

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills are still one of the NFL’s best teams despite losing to the Kansas City Chiefs. In the end, they may end up getting the last laugh based on what crazy stat.

If the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Baltimore Ravens in Sunday’s AFC Championship, they’ll become the first team to win a playoff game immediately following a win over a Josh Allen-led Buffalo Bills team.

No team has won a playoff game following a win over Allen’s Bills. Teams are 0-4 after falling to Allen’s Bills in the playoffs.

It started back in 2019 when the team lost to the Houston Texans. The following year, the Chiefs beat them but lost in the Super Bowl to the Tampa Bay Bucs.

In 2021, the Chiefs beat them again and then lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFC Championship game. Last year, the Bengals beat the Bills and then got beat by the Chiefs.

Now it’s 2023 and the Chiefs are once again coming off a victory over the Bills.

The Chiefs are 0-2 in playoff games immediately after beating Allen and Buffalo and are looking to break this weird curse of defeating the Bills and not accomplishing anything afterward.

While the Chiefs will look to break the curse, they have other goals in mind as they could join the 2014-18 Patriots as the only teams to play in four Super Bowls over a five-year span.

Patrick Mahomes is two wins away from becoming only the fifth starting QB to win at least three Super Bowls.
