Scottish DJ, Calvin Harris, dated Taylor Swift for 15 months between 2015 and 2016 before eventually breaking things off with the Bad Blood singer in March 2016

Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris seemed like the real deal before the they called it quits in March 2016.

The husband of Radio 1 star, Vick Hope – who has admitted she can’t listen to Taylor’s music when Calvin is around – dated the Bad Blood singer, 34, for 15 months between 2015 and 2016, before eventually breaking things off in March 2016.

Calvin’s first first public appearance with Taylor was at the Billboard Music Awards in May 2015, and the Americana star didn’t hold back as she hugged and kissed the Scot, now 40, in full view of the cameras each time she was announced as a winner. The couple then worked together on Calvin’s 2016 summer hit, This is What You Came For, which Swift wrote under the pseudonym, Nils Sjoberg.

However, a bitter split was on the cards for the talented musicians, prompting a break-up song from Taylor and an alarmingly quick romance with a famous British actor…

Taylor starts seeing Tom Hiddleston weeks after splitting with Calvin

Shortly after Taylor and Calvin split, the Eras star jumped into another high-profile relationship with British actor, Tom Hiddleston. After parading around in the sea, wearing matching vest tops with the Loki star, Taylor released ‘Getaway Car’, which is largely believed to be about her purposefully trying to seduce Tom because she was looking for an excuse to end things with Calvin.

Calvin makes cryptic comments about Taylor

Calvin responded to the paparazzi shots of Taylor and Tom by unfollowing his ex on Instagram and deleting every single photo of the singer from his profile. He then began to leaving cryptic posts on social media, leaving fans to think his split with the singer was anything but amicable.

When somebody criticised the Summer star for wearing a pair of trainers designed by Kanye West — who Taylor was publicly feuding with at the time after ‘Ye crashed the stage during her VMA acceptance speech — and suggested that he was jealous of her romance with Tom, Calvin replied: “Not jealous sir, FREE.”

Another social media user accused the Scot of “dumping” Taylor, but Calvin replied: “I didn’t leave anyone and she’s def not sad. It’s all good.” In another dig, he claimed: “She controlled the media and this situation, I had no idea what was going on. So that kind of makes it a lot worse from my perspective.”

Taylor’s fans slam Calvin

Amid the fall-out between Taylor and Calvin, Ms Swift’s spokesperson confirmed a much touted theory that Taylor had written Calvin’s hit song ‘This Is What You Came For’ under the moniker Nils Sjoberg.

Taylor’s fans quickly accused Calvin of unfairly taking the credit for her work, but he jumped on Twitter, now X, to set the record straight. Defending himself, he wrote: “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.”

Calvin added: “Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though,” he went on. “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.”

Calvin accuses Taylor of trying to ‘bury’ him

In a final jab, Calvin publicly accused Taylor of trying to “bury” him “like Katy Perry,” referring to Taylor’s well-publicised 2014 feud with the Roar star, which is believed to be documented in Taylor’s smash hit ‘Bad Blood’.

Referencing that drama, he tweeted: “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.” Ouch!
