Rumors continue to swirl regarding the status of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage, with a recent event in Los Angeles fanning the flames.
The pair attended their Kinsey African American Art and History Collection event at SoFi Stadium on March 21. The Sussexes received a private exhibit dour and spoke with other guests in attendance.
Meghan dazzled in a floral wool cape, black trousers and black battle flats, while Harry paired a dark suit with a white shirt.
While the event seemed to go by without incident, royal author Tom Quinn stated that there is something brewing between the two given Harry looked uncomfortable during the event.
“Harry and Meghan’s recent hosting of a special event in honor of the Kinsey African-American, Art and History Collection gave the couple the chance to do something for an institution that has a special place in Meghan’s heart, and it was fascinating to see how loved up Meghan and Harry were at the event,” Quinn told The Mirror.
“But there was a sense that some of this was rather forced,” he added.
“Recent publicity has suggested Meghan and Harry’s relationship is under strain and this will have determined the couple to make a public demonstration of their love for each other and the strength of their marriage
“But to many their displays of affection looked contrived – many of us thought Meghan looked as if she was still acting in Suits! And Harry always looks really uncomfortable with public hugs!”
Quinn noted the couple have always put on public displays of affection, so suddenly stopping that has raised eyebrows.
“Their romance is a key part of their brand so whenever we see them now in public, they will make huge efforts to show they are still madly in love,” Quinn added. “Harry is in the most difficult position because he gave up being a working royal for this romance, and if the romance fails, he has nothing else.
“Meghan knows how to use her acting skills to make a brand work. Harry hasn’t a clue. He only knows how to be a royal and he gave that up.”
These latest rumors come after a spokesperson for the couple recently told The Mirror that “they’re still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticized. This couple will not be broken.”
