On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers enjoyed a Week 1 victory against the Washington Commanders at home. Many players had spectacular games, but reporter Laura Okmin stole the show after the game.

While interviewing Baker Mayfield immediately after a game, fans could not stop laughing at the outfit Okmin decided to rock on national television, which consisted of a plaid bucket hat and thick gold chains.

Of course, everyone on the internet was firing off jokes as fast as they could.

 

“Dressed like that allegedly undercover CIA agent in exotic locations in movies and in Far Cry games,” one comment said.

“If Okmin is going for the “I sell coke on the beach after the game” look, she absolutely nailed it,” said another.

“She’s dressed like that awkward 15-year-old that showed up to the cool high school party….. and it didn’t go well,” said a third.

“I’d say more like Inspector Gadget. How did the producer let her go on the air looking that goofy? On top of the ridiculous hat and overly, huge glasses, she was wearing GRAY lipstick that looked like clay. Blech,” continued a fourth.

It was certainly an interesting choice, considering reporters are usually seen dressing a bit more professionally than this.

Baker Mayfield Earned The Post Game Interview With Laura Okmin

Mayfield had himself a game against the Commanders, completing 24 of 30 passes for 289 yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions, and a passer rating of 146.6.

Of course, that made him the player of the game, which is why Laura Okmin was the first one to interview him before he left the field.

If he continues to play like this then Mayfield will be talking to many more reporters than just Okmin.
