Thomas Markle is turning 80 next month – and with that milestone in mind he is troubled.

The Duchess of Sussex’s dad and grandfather to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet – who it’s believed he has never met – said that there will be one burning question that royal couple Prince Harry and his daughter will face.

Mr Markle said: “They are getting to the age where they will start asking questions, as all kids do.

“At some stage it’s inevitable that they will ask their parents why they have cut them off from both sides of the family?

“They have two grandpas who want to see them, one of whom is the King of England. I never in my 80 years thought I’d be in the same boat as the King” reports MailOnline.

The grandad also says that there is a unique bond between cousins that the young royals are missing out on – as they don’t see Prince William or Princess Kate’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte or Prince Louis.

He added that the decisions that daughter Meghan and Harry have made “will affect their kids for the rest of their lives”
