Pete Wicks has teased a career move for 2025 after his success last year on Strictly Come Dancing – and he could be up for another iconic show.
It hasn’t been long since Pete Wicks was waltzing his way across the dancefloor on Strictly Come Dancing, but the reality star could have his eyes set on another iconic TV show for 2025.
In an exclusive chat, we probed whether the ex-TOWIE hunk would be up for taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which would see him tread the same path as his BFF Sam Thompson, who was crowned king of the jungle in 2023, and his current love interest Maura Higgins, who braved the wild in 2024. “I’m A Celeb is a great show, all the challenges and everything look great,” Pete said. “I don’t really have a fear of anything and I really like bugs and animals, so I think I’d enjoy it. You never know.”
It wouldn’t be his first taste of the jungle; Pete popped up during a family visit episode to support Sam, and he was right there to welcome him at the end of the iconic bridge. And during the 2024 series, Maura spoke about their romance while she was in camp.
But before any trips Down Under, Pete is set to charm on the telly with his brand-new docuseries, ‘Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake’. Pete is a devoted dad to his two French bulldogs, Eric and Peggy, and he’s thrilled to offer fans an intimate peek into his world with this latest TV venture, reports the Mirror.
Partnering with the charity Dogs Trust, Pete embarks on a mission to save, rehabilitate, and rehome pooches in need.
Gushing about his new series, which strikes a chord with the reality star, Pete confessed his long-held ambition: “For me, this is what I’ve always wanted to do. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to work with animals and ever since having a bit of a platform, I wanted to do something with it. This show was life-changing for me.”
With a successful time on Strictly behind him, a new docuseries and a potential jungle stint – Pete has certainly got his hands full. Despite his rising fame, the TV personality remains modest, admitting to winging his way through stardom with a dose of candid charm, “I don’t think I’ve ever known what I’m doing, if I’m honest with you darling, I just blag it. It’s just about living in the moment.”
