Rebekah Vardy has vowed it’s time to move on from her drama with Coleen Rooney.

The pair have been locked in a war of words and lawsuits after Coleen dramatically claimed that Rebekah’s Instagram account had been leaking stories to the media. In 2019, Coleen appeared to break the internet with her Wagatha Christie sting investigation which saw her post a slew of fake stories on her private Instagram page.

The High Court heard how Vardy’s account was the only profile to be given access to see her posts. Rebekah strongly denies the allegations made against her. During the expensive court battle, it was heard how Vardy’s former agent, Caroline Watt, may have been responsible for the leaks, having had access to her account.

But despite the drama between Rebekah, 42 and Coleen, 38, it appears that the charity ambassadors could be prepared to leave the past behind them. Coleen had recently been appearing on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, during which, she briefly touched on the trial, which saw a judge rule in her favour and state that her claim about Rebekah allegedly leaking stories was “substantially true”.

Now, Rebekah has praised the Liverpudlian, who placed runner-up to McFly singer and guitarist, Danny Jones, in Sunday night’s grand final. Writing in her column for The Sun, Rebekah said: “And Coleen finished second, Coleen has had a fab series, she has really done well and made herself proud.

“Yes, I know you’re all waiting for me to say otherwise, I’m sorry to disappoint, but it’s just not happening. It’s really, really time to move on and end the year with a positive.” More than seven million people tuned in to watch Coleen narrowly beaten by Danny on I’m A Celebrity on Sunday night, a jump of around half a million over the finale last year, figures reveal – a rise from the 6.6 million viewers who watched TV star Sam Thompson win last year, ITV said.

The Claire House ambassador secured a whopping 44.8% of the public vote, meanwhile winner Danny bagged 55.2%. But while Coleen has previously stepped out of the limelight, sources have now revealed heading Down Under have reignited her passion for TV.

“Her time on I’m A Celebrity only solidified what the execs already knew – Coleen is a natural on screen,” a TV insider told the Mirror. “Her authenticity and charm made her an immediate favourite with viewers. She has been approached time and time again to do more TV but now it is going to happen.”

The source adds: “I’m A Celebrity was the test run that ITV wanted to see. ITV has long had their eyes on her for a big role, and now, with her performance as runner-up, they’re ready to offer her one of the most exciting daytime TV slots on the channel. She’s set to become one of TV’s biggest stars. A big deal is certainly in the offing!”
