This Morning’s Alison Hammond has announced that she plans to take some time off after a hectic 2024 – which left her co-star Dermot O’Leary in hysterics

Alison Hammond left viewers stunned as she revealed her intentions to wind down work commitments after a very busy 2024.

During a segment with a manifestation expert on This Morning, the bubbly presenter, alongside Dermot O’Leary, delved into their aspirations for 2025, where panto star expressed her wish to “take more time off” much to Dermots apparent dismay.

Alison was candid about her wishes, asserting: “I want a little bit more time off this year, I’ve been very busy, also hinting at travel ambitions, she mentioned: “And a trip to Japan.”

Dermot, however, humorously opposed her plan for downtime in front of the manifestation specialist, quipping: “I’m manifesting for Alison to take less time off, sorry Alison, but I miss you when you’re not here,” showing his reluctance to be apart from his co-host.

He didnt hold back on his own goals either, professing his love for Italy and the desire to master the language for his future visits.

Earlier in the show, even before the expert’s appearance, the discussion of New Year’s resolutions came up, and Alison playfully probed Dermot: “So what will be yours for the New Year?A bit more time out perhaps?” reports the Mirror.

Taken aback, Dermot humorously suggested he wasn’t thrilled with the prospect of 2025 if it meant more absences from Alison, responding: “I was quite looking forward to 2025 but not now.”

Their banter escalated when Dermot jokingly challenged:”Are you trying to get me the sack?” Which led to an uncontrollable fit of laughter from Alison on the show.

Yesterday (December 30), Dermot and Alison sparked a flurry of speculation among the X community online the group formerly known as Twitter users. A wave of viewers voiced their suspicions that This Morning was not airing live.

Disgruntled fans took to the platform to express their doubts, with one writing: “This feels prerecorded still #thismorning.” Another chimed in with: “#thismorning Right definitely pre recorded.”

One viewer raised a logistical query: “Alison is doing panto today at 14:30… in Birmingham. Are we led to believe that she will make it from this live show London in time? #ThisMorning,”

Another confidently asserted: “Yeah this is deffo prerecorded bet their not back till the new year now why don’t they just take it off till it’s back live #thismorning.”

However, any confusion was seemingly addressed later in the show when Alison Hammond clarified the situation, indicating that the programme was indeed live.

She mentioned that she would be performing “this afternoon and this evening” at the Birmingham Hippodrome after the day’s episode of This Morning wrapped up.
