VICTOR Wembanyama is already rewriting the history books just five games into his NBA career.

The San Antonio Spurs rookie, 19, dropped 38 points on the Phoenix Suns to equal a record held by Shaquille O’Neal since 1992.

Wembanyama was almost unplayable as the Spurs recorded a 132-121 win over the Suns at Footprint Center.

The 7-foot-4 French sensation collected 10 rebounds and provided 2 assists as he dominated at both ends of the court.

He hit 15-26 from the field and went 3-6 from three-point land.

Per CBS, Wembanyama is the first player to post at least 85 points, 35 rebounds, and 10 blocks in his first five NBA games since Shaq more than 30 years ago.

O’Neal would go on to become a Hall of Famer, winning four NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Wembanyama arrived in the league with huge hype and was selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Spurs.

He has hit the ground running in the NBA after a grueling offseason spent bulking up his lanky frame.

Fans have been stunned by how quickly he has looked “dominant” against seasoned NBA stars.

One gasped on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Games 4 & 5 of his NBA career he just went into Keven Durant’s building for two trials by combat and won them both.”

Another said: “Wemby isn’t human.”

While a third added: “Wild take but if he stays healthy he could be the greatest of all time.”

And a fourth commented: “We are watching greatness at his start.”

The Spurs improved to 3-2 on the regular season after Thursday’s road win.

Wembanyama earned plaudits from Suns’ veteran Kevin Durant following their titanic battle.

Durant said: “His enthusiasm for the game – you can tell that through the TV and playing against him.

“He’s his own player, own person. He’s going to create his own lane and is much different than anyone else who has played.”
