In a recent interview, television personality Kim Woodburn, known for her appearance on “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” in 2009,

has accused fellow contestant Gino D’Acampo of engaging in inappropriate behavior during their time on the show.

Woodburn alleges that D’Acampo frequently made lewd comments and gestures related to his genitalia, which she found offensive and unsettling.

Woodburn, 82, claimed that D’Acampo would stand over a log and touch himself over his shorts, making remarks such as,

“I know you haven’t had any sex, but when you get out of here, you will get so much.”

She added, “He would say his privates were being deprived and neglected, and his wife would give him a good seeing to when he got home.

We would all just turn … .” Woodburn emphasized that this behavior made her uncomfortable, stating, “It’s not appropriate to do that in … .”

In addition to these allegations, Woodburn recounted an incident during a Bushtucker trial where D’Acampo was accused of cheating. According to her, when confronted by a producer, D’Acampo responded with offensive language, calling the producer a “f***ing bastard” and a “c***.” He then allegedly refused to leave the set, leading to a halt in filming until crew members escorted him away. Woodburn expressed her dismay that D’Acampo was not removed from the show following this incident, stating, “They should have thrown him off the … .”

These revelations come amid a broader investigation into D’Acampo’s conduct. An ITV News investigation has uncovered multiple allegations of “sexually inappropriate” …  behavior by D’Acampo over a span of 12 years. The complaints describe his behavior as “unacceptable,” “distressing,” and “horrendous.” In response, ITV has severed ties with D’Acampo, pulling episodes of his shows from their schedule.

D’Acampo has firmly denied all allegations, stating, “I have never been made aware of … . This is simply not in my nature.” He added, “I do not recognise the …

Woodburn criticized ITV’s handling of D’Acampo’s behavior during their time on “I’m A Celebrity,” alleging that the network covered up his actions and gave him a favorable edit, which contributed to his win. She stated, “ITV were wrong to … .” Woodburn called for a full investigation into D’Acampo’s behavior, emphasizing the need to protect crew members from mistreatment.

These allegations have sparked discussions about workplace culture within the television industry and the importance of addressing complaints promptly and effectively. The situation underscores the need for media organizations to foster safe and respectful environments, ensuring that all employees feel empowered to voice their concerns without fear of retribution.

As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen what further actions will be taken and how this will impact D’Acampo’s career and ITV’s internal policies moving forward.
