Dan Orlovsky was in no mood to accept an NFL executive’s criticism of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen after he called him “overrated.”
“One of the more overrated players in the NFL,” the exec told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. “Immense talent but he makes a lot of mistakes. He’s underdeveloped at winning at the line of scrimmage, tends to lock on to targets, more of a thrower than precision passer, forces throws into traffic.”
Orlovsky took issue with the comment, referring to the exec as “an idiot.”
“Josh Allen is two or three plays away from being a multi-Super Bowl appearing quarterback and potentially Super Bowl winning quarterback. … It’s a moronic statement to make.”@danorlovsky7 can’t believe people are calling Josh Allen overrated 😯 pic.twitter.com/FArfwUkOhX

However, fellow television analyst Nick Wright disagreed with Orlovsky’s defense and accused the ESPN personality of pushing false narratives.
“I heard [Orlovsky say] he’s two or three plays away from being in multiple Super Bowls,” he began. “What are the plays? Tell me. Tell me the two or three plays that put Josh Allen in the Super Bowl. Because I can go through the career.”
Wright then went on a rant about Allen’s playoff career, rightly pointing out that, in terms of plays, he has never actually been close to a Super Bowl.
YIKES! I never knew sports network beef was a real thing. Here Nick Wright calls out Dan Orlovsky live on air and claims he was dishonest in his recounting of certain events in Josh Allen’s career. He goes on to PROPERLY cook JA in what is a hilarious segment. 🤣🤣🤣 pic.twitter.com/3EhVkyh7U6

The Josh Allen Argument Just Might Trigger Some Network BeefThe QB is 5-5 in the playoffs, and his only trip to the AFC Championship game ended in a 14-point loss.
The Bills have also missed field goals at the end of games in two of the last three playoff periods, yet they were both in the divisional round.
It would be interesting if Orlovsky were to respond, as fans could probably do with some FOX-ESPN beef, given the lack of any football right now.
Let’s wait and see.
