Philadelphia Eagles second-round pick Cooper DeJean just got his formal welcome to the NFL during an all-time rookie tradition.

Cooper DeJean decided to thrill his teammates with his rendition of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” during Thursday’s team talent show.

It failed miserably.

The 21-year-old cornerback failed to even make it through the first verse before his teammates began to boo him off-stage as he started to struggle and threw stuff at him while laughing.

Cooper DeJean is hardly the first NFL player to choose an Eminem impression during talent shows in front of teammates.

Jerome Kapp, then of the New York Jets, put on a rendition of the rapper’s freestyle as it was captured by HBO’s Hard Knocks last year.

He did so well that Marshal Mathers even shouted him out.

Luckily, the Eagles did not draft Cooper DeJean for his skills or lack thereof in rapping.

The second-round pick out of Iowa is in the midst of competing for playing time in the secondary and as a punt returner after thriving as an All-American in his final season with the Hawkeyes.

Cooper DeJean Begins Training Camp On NFI List

Getting booed is one thing, but Cooper DeJean is set to miss some valuable time as he was reportedly “caught in an awkward position” and is now injured ahead of the first Eagles training camp practices.

DeJean started the 2024 training camp on the NFI list with a freak hamstring injury, according to a report from Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

The second-round pick did not compete at any of the major offseason pre-draft events, like the Senior Bowl or the NFL Combine, because he was still recovering from a fractured right fibula.

Hopefully, he recovers soon.
