Tom Brady couldn’t help but take a vicious shot at Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Jalen Brooks during the Dallas Cowboys’ shocking blowout loss at home to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night.

The 47-year-old Tom Brady was on the call with Kevin Burkhardt and Erin Andrews for the Cowboys-Saints game at AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Led by Alvin Kamara’s four touchdowns, the Saints stunned America’s Team 44-19 and snapped Dallas’ 16-game regular-season home winning streak.

One of the game’s key plays transpired late in the second quarter when Paulson Adebo picked off Dak Prescott’s pass attempt to Jalen Brooks. The latter slipped on the play, allowing Adebo to take the ball and return it into Dallas territory:

Derek Carr finished the drive with a one-yard rushing touchdown, putting the Saints up by 22 and ending Dallas’ bid at a comeback. When discussing Brooks’ inadvertent slip, Tom Brady couldn’t help but take a shot at the rookie.

“Not today, it’s actually pretty tough to go back there,” Brady said. “You’re saying…’I’m going to him, and I just can’t count on him that he’s going to stay on his feet.’”

Tom Brady is now two games through the mammoth 10-year, $375 million contract that was signed with FOX Sports in 2022. His debut in the Cowboys-Cleveland Browns game was rocky last week, but the seven-time Super Bowl champion sounded a lot more confident and at home in Week 2.

Tom Brady Is Back In Dallas Next Week

It was announced during the broadcast that Brady and Burkhardt will call the Cowboys for the third straight week next Sunday when they play host to Lamar Jackson and the 0-2 Baltimore Ravens.

It’s worth noting that the Cowboys visit the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers on “Thursday Night Football” and “Sunday Night Football” on Amazon Prime Video and NBC, respectively, in Weeks 4 and 5. So Brady will finally get a change of scenery when he’s done in Dallas next week.

Brady, Burkhardt and Andrews will also be on the call for Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, Louisiana on Feb. 1..
