HOLLYOAKS legend Jamie Lomas is gearing up for a very dramatic exit from the soap after appearing in it on and off for 18 years.

Dramatic new images show his character, Warren Fox, fighting for his life once again after being stabbed.

He is seen clutching his stomach, while Mercedes is screaming and trying to help him.

But The Sun can reveal that this won’t actually be the end of Warren and he will seek revenge on who attacked him.

A TV insider said: “Jamie is one of the soap’s best loved characters and bosses have been keen to give him an epic send off.

“Things are pretty touch and go after he’s stabbed, but it seems Warren has one more fight in him.

“The question is though – which of his many haters could have done this to him?”

Just last week on the soap Warren was shot, but managed to escape unharmed thanks to wearing a bullet proof vest.

He fled the village with Mercedes, but will return ahead of his exit.

Fans are now questioning who could be after Warren and as well as the usual suspects, a new name has been thrown into the hat – Blue.

Viewers learn that Blue is a gangster, who has been missing since 2017, which tie in with Freddie’s prison stint.

But could new character Martha Blake be targeting him?

Sherrie Hewson’s character has been tipped to be the next soap serial killer.

The Sun exclusively revealed that Sherrie is going to make history by playing the oldest serial killer on the soap come September.

Meanwhile, Jamie teased his exit with fans this week and wrote on social media: “Can’t wait for you all to see warrens exit @hollyoaksofficial it’s definitely worth a watch.”

Viewers are convinced he is getting killed off and expressed their upset, with one person writing: “Gutted absolutely GUTTED!!!! Why can’t he just leave in a black cab –  he’s always been my favourite, will miss warren.”

A second said: “Why can’t he just leave instead of dying.”
