French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati experienced the worst luck at the Olympic Games as he was forced to walk away empty-handed after his package got in the way.
Ammirati participated in his first heat on Saturday morning and suffered the misfortune of having his reproductive organ latch onto the bar after getting over it. It appears he would have gone over cleanly had he tucked properly.
As you can see in the clip below, the Frenchman got over the bar without difficulty, but his bulge sabotaged the entire operation on his way down, pulling the bar with him.
The penile interference prevented him from clearing the 5.70-meter height that would have probably been enough to make it to the next heat and place him closer to a medal.
Unfortunately, he will have to wait for the next Summer Olympics to have a shot at some hardware. He will probably do a better job of tucking then.
ocial Media Had A Lot To Say After Witnessing Anthony Ammirati’s Mishap
Of course, social media had a field day after seeing this.
“Bet that thang always causing problems!” one fan guessed.
“You’re only allowed one pole in this event. He was disqualified,” another quipped.
“Imagine losing Olympics cus you have huge d*ck 😭,” someone lamented.
“Imagine telling someone how you lost it 😭,” wrote another,
“bro should look into how to tuck it,” someone advised.
“When you lose but you still kinda win,” a user pointed out.
“He’s got to learn to pack better before he travels,” a comment read.
“I am sure he will be compensated at the Olympic Village,” someone joked.
This is especially funny as the high water mark in the pole vault was 5.75 meters, which is less than a foot from the score Anthony Ammirati registered. It leaves no doubt that his organ is solely to blame for his failure to qualify.
