I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here star Coleen Rooney has opened up on the moment she was left ‘struggling’ just hours after coming second place.
The famed WAG was runner-up to Danny Jones, who was crowned King Of The Jungle in the nail-bitingly close finale.
Following her exit, Coleen appeared on Monday’s (December 9) episode of ITV hit breakfast show Good Morning Britain alongside hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley.
Talk soon turned to the lack of food in the jungle and how the campmates coped with basic meals provided. As viewers know the stars are forced to survive on a daily diet of rice and beans.

Coleen went on to admit: “The first week I struggled and by day three I had the headache. People were saying before I went in there ‘have you started getting yourself off caffeine and this and that’ but I didn’t do any of that.”
She continued: “I was so forced on getting everything prepared before I went into the jungle to leave the boys that I didn’t actually think about being in the jungle till I got there and when I got there I just thought what have I signed up for, what am I doing here.
“The headache set in obviously from withdrawal from caffeine, sugar and alcohol and then the hunger because we didn’t get the stars in the first week. Dean didn’t succeed in some of the trials so we were limited on food and the hunger was real.”

Elsewhere in the show, Coleen also revealed her ‘biggest challenge’ was leaving her children for a long period of time as she admitted that it was one of the main reasons it took her a long time to appear on the show.
The star and former England footballer Wayne Rooney have four children together – Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six.
The mum-of-4 admitted: “I’m with my boys day in and day out and I’m there for them all the time so that was the biggest challenge for me was to not be there for them and I think that’s what has taken me this many years to take part in the show. “
She added: “I’ve got such a close family and friends network around me so I knew that they would be fine no matter what. It seems like a long time, three weeks without family and friends but it’s not that long and I knew everything would be ok when I get back home.”
