Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston, is one of the most remarkable additions to the epic Marvel franchise. Due to its captivating plot, outstanding characters, and unrivaled visual capabilities, which set new standards within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series has become extremely popular among fans. While the series is gearing up for its second season, Loki season one is set for its physical release.

The Hiddleston-led series recently released deleted footage from season one, episode five. The episode titled Loki’s Coronation had a cameo of Chris Hemsworth as Thorg. The scene being part of the series was scrapped from its final cut. It is now available for the fans, and it seems like Marvel made a big mistake cutting off an important scene from Loki season one.

The story of Loki has attracted fans the most in the MCU. Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, even got its separate series on Disney +. The series is set for its second season, and season one has made its way to the physical release.

The deleted footage of Chris Hemsworth‘s cameo in Loki has finally been released. Season one, episode five of the Hiddleston-led series first introduced audiences to The Void, a place at the end of time filled with Loki variants, Marvel Easter eggs, and Throg, an amphibious variant of Hemsworth’s Thor.

Thorg, who appeared in Loki Season 1 without speaking, had a larger role in the series but was axed from the final cut. The deleted scene features Throg interrupting the God of Mischief’s coronation. The rough cut of the deleted scene now available online, shows a fight between Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Thorg.

A person shared the scene on X in which Throg is seen yelling, “You turned me into a frog!” before pointing a miniature Mjolnir at Loki in front of an Asgardian crowd.

The action comes to a close with a freeze-frame showing Throg gloating as Loki is struck by lightning, followed by a zoom-out that reveals the TVA is replaying this exact moment.

Director Kate Herron confirmed that Chris Hemsworth voiced the Thor Variant. According to The Direct, Herron said,

“Throg, obviously, getting him in [was great]. And we recorded Chris Hemsworth for that, by the way. We recorded him for that, that’s a new recording. That’s a whole new recording, not recycled, he recorded that!”

However, the director decided against using the interaction since it didn’t fully fit with the purpose of the episode. With Loki Season 2 set to debut in October, the question is whether Throg will return.

Tom Hiddleston has grown to be an indispensable and unique component of the Marvel Universe. His portrayal of Loki was loved by fans and even got him a separate series on Disney+. Loki debuted in 2021 and received a positive response from fans. With immense love for the British actor’s character, MCU waved the green flag for another season.

Season one of Loki centered on Hiddleston’s Loki, using the Tesseract to escape from the timeline during Avengers: Endgame. He was forcibly apprehended by the TVA team and followed by the chase to find his dangerous variant.

Season 2 will follow the event after the introduction of Kang, the Conqueror. It will pick up where the first season left off. Loki finds himself in a different branch of the Time Variance Authority run by Kang the Conqueror.

Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 5.
