More details have emerged as to why Kadarius Toney will miss Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between his Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.

Per NFL Network’s James Palmer, Toney will miss the game because he and his partner had their first child, a daughter, on Saturday evening. Palmer added that Toney’s hip injury will also keep him sidelined for the big showdown in Baltimore.

Hip and ankle injuries sidelined Toney’s for the Chiefs’ first two playoff games — against Miami and Buffalo in the Wild Card and the Divisional Round, respectively.

Congrats to Toney and his partner on their first child together!
