Booker, 27, didn’t play in Friday’s 122-119 loss to the Lakers.

But the 6-foot-6 shooting guard still made the headlines when he arrived at Footprint Center in the stunning Chevy lowrider.

The Suns star himself handpicked the vehicle as part of Phoenix’s dedication to celebrating its Mexican-American fanbase with the 2023-24 City Edition uniforms, per NBA.com.

The purple and orange “El Valle” jerseys, as well as the team’s specially designed court, pay tribute to the city’s Chicanos and their lowrider culture.

And Booker’s ride shared a similar color scheme, featuring the iconic Chicano pinstriping.

The convertible was designed by the Valley’s famous car-building artist Efrain “Bugs” Gonzales.

The Chevy is considered to be “one of America’s most iconic vehicles, right up there with the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette,” according to Trust Auto.

“The ’57 Bel Air is a standout today because of its ability to remind people of simpler times and look that appears in sharp contrast to today’s vehicles that often seem so similar,” the dealership claims.

Among the car’s most characteristic features is its Corvette-styled grille, “likened to the grin of an aggressive beast ready to pounce and play with its prey,” TopSpeed.com says.

What made the chrome-laden 1957 Bel Air stand out back in the day was the introduction of the 283 cubic inch Super Turbo-Fire V8 engine, featuring a revolutionary fuel injection system.

The revolutionary technology improved both fuel economy and performance with Chevy aiming to “put the purr in performance,” per General Motors.

“The Bel Air was a car of balance, symmetry, form, and function put together perfectly into a single machine,” motoring aficionados at GR Auto Gallery write.

Fans marveled at Booker’s ride after seeing him roll into Phoenix’s parking lot.

“Love how Booker represents AZ and his love for lowriders,” one wrote.

“Man knows a great classic when he sees one,” another added.

“Loving El Valle this year. The car, court, jerseys… all dope,” a third said.

“I love Devin Booker’s taste of vintage cars,” one wrote.

A calf injury held Booker back at the start of the 2023-24 NBA season.

He made just two appearances in the first two weeks of the campaign, averaging 31.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 10.5 assists.
