Strictly’s Wynne Evans got very emotional on It Takes Two tonight

Wynne and Katya appeared on the show’s spin-off It Takes Two earlier this evening.

The pair spoke about their time in the competition and were surprised when co-star Jamie Borthwick appeared on set.

The EastEnders star said that he had a “friend for life” and the show “won’t be the same” now that Wynne has been voted off.

Katya added: “This is what Strictly is about.

“No one is going to remember the scores, the comments we got, it’s the friendships that have been created.

“The genuine, genuine relationships.”

As the dancer continued to speak to host Fleur, Wynne couldn’t contain his emotions and started to cry live on air.

“I’m so glad that you had each other,” Katya continued.

“Every single week we would get through.

“It’s absolutely beautiful to see.

On Saturday night Katya got quite the surprise tonight during her dance-off with Wynne.

Right at the end of the routine, she was hit in the face by a flying rose that was thrown onto the dancefloor as part of the routine’s finale.

The moment wasn’t missed by viewers watching at home.

One wrote: “That rose hit Katya right in the face!!!!”

“Cackling at someone chucking the rose directly at katya’s face,” added a third.

Asked about his time on the show, Wynne said:

“It’s been wonderful, I’ve got to say. I feel like it’s what Strictly is all about.

“If I can come and do Strictly and last until week nine, then anybody can get out there and dance and have a brilliant time.

“Strictly is such a brilliant family, such a precious family, that I want everybody here in this room and at home to look after it for the generations to come because it is a wonderful, wonderful thing.”

Katya said: “To be honest with you, the smile hasn’t left my face since the first day of our training, since the day we got partnered up.

“You [to Wynne] have made this experience so joyous and so full of laughter for me. I’m sure everybody was jealous because you’re the kind of guy that everybody wants in their life.

“You bring light, you bring laughter, you bring charisma, you fill up every room you walk into with those qualities.”

Wynne and Katya hit headlines during their time on the show after the “grope” scandal.

Fans noticed an awkward moment between Wynne and Katya, where the professional dancer pushed his hands off her waist on camera.

The awkward moment was not left unnoticed by fans, with many raising concern on social media.

It was later revealed that Srictly bosses shared that they would not be taking any further action over what had happened
