Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron came together for the first time in Snow White and the Huntsman. The film was a reimaging of the classic tale Snow White and was directed by Rupert Sanders.

The film also had Kristen Stewart playing Snow White while Theron played the evil stepmother Queen Ravenna and Hemsworth played the warrior Eric. The film became a success at the box office and a sequel was developed. The sequel was called The Huntsman: Winter’s War.

Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain joined the sequel and along with Theron formed a strong bond together working on the film. The film’s male lead Hemsworth was sandwiched between the actresses and they had a fun time joking around and even making fun of each other on set. According to one of the actresses, Hemsworth might have been hilariously traumatized by the constant teasing by the trio.

Chris Hemsworth starred alongside three powerhouse actresses Emily Blunt, Jessica Chastain, and Charlize Theron in The Huntsman: Winter’s War. The women trio bonded very strongly on set and had a great time working on the film. The fun factor for the trio was multiplied by constantly teasing and making fun of Hemsworth together as a group. Blunt addressed how Hemsworth must have felt in an interview with The Guardian saying,

“It was a powerful, cool atmosphere on set. Poor Chris. I don’t think he’ll ever work with women again. We bullied him mercilessly. He just got teased every day. He was like: [in Australian accent] ‘It’s like having three sisters – I hate it’. I loved working with those women. You want to breathe the same air as them every day – they’re so great.”

It is funny to think about how Hemsworth must have dealt with the overwhelming presence of powerful and funny women around him. The women trio and Hemsworth seem to have enjoyed their time on set and their fun camaraderie and bond are evident during the promotions of the film.

Charlize Theron Will Not Gain Weight for Any Roles in The Future

Charlize Theron is known as a very committed actress who will go to any length to convincingly portray any role given to her. She gained a considerable amount of weight in Monster and Tully which she found very hard to lose. Now in her late 40s, she has decided that she is not gonna tax her body to that extent anymore. She told Allure,
“I will never, ever do a movie again and say, ‘Yeah, I’ll gain 40 pounds.’ I will never do it again because you can’t take it off. When I was 27, I did Monster. I lost 30 pounds, like, overnight. I missed three meals and I was back to my normal weight. Then I did it at 43 for Tully, and I remember a year into trying to lose the weight, I called my doctor and I said, ‘I think I’m dying because I cannot lose this weight.’ And he was like, ‘You’re over 40. Calm down. Your metabolism is not what it was.’ Nobody wants to hear that.”
On the work front, Theron recently reprised her role as Cipher in Fast X. She will star in The Old Guard 2 which is the sequel to her 2020 Netflix hit The Old Guard. It is expected to be released on Netflix sometime in 2023.
