However, in 2007 Reeves was accused of assaulting a photographer named Alison Silva. The incident happened in Los Angeles when Silva clicked pictures of the actor outside a clinic. The photographer claimed that Reeves approached him, took his camera, and pushed him to the ground.

Just a day after Keanu Reeves turned 56, several articles and tweets about the incident started doing rounds on social media. The incident occurred when the actor tried to escape the paparazzi and drive away after coming out of a clinic.

The case did make its way to a Los Angeles court after a year, in September 2008. After careful examination, the LA Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Grimes dismissed all charges against Reeves, stating that the act wasn’t done intentionally. Moreover, the judge found no evidence of Reeves’ car making contact with the photographer.

Later, A Reuters report made it clear that the photographer had stumbled on his own and was responsible for all his injuries. Besides, Reeves also stated that Silva tried obstructing his vehicle on the day of the incident, but he would never intentionally harm anyone.
