Kendrick Perkins leaves First Take fans divided with controversial NBA GOAT take between Michael Jordan and LeBron James

FORMER NBA champion turned media analyst Kendrick Perkins does not consider Michael Jordan the best basketball ever.

The Ex-Boston Celtics big man says LeBron James is the NBA’s GOAT — not the six-time Chicago Bulls icon.

Perkins appeared on First Take on Thursday and disclosed his thoughts on the NBA GOAT debate.

He was joined alongside Stephen A Smith and Molly Qerim and detailed why he believes James has taken the title over MJ.

Perkins expressed that James is still a dominant player at 38 years old and playing at a high level, something Jordan never did.

“This is why LeBron James is the GOAT.

“Because your GOAT wasn’t doing this at 38 years of age,” Perkins said.

Perkins continued explaining that he thinks the NBA and fans have been looking to replace James from the face of the league, and he continues to prove everyone wrong.

“We have been searching and trying to find a new person to take over the throne of being the face of the league, and we can’t put a finger on that yet.

“You know why? Because LeBron James is still the face of the league. He proved that last night,” Perkins said.

NBA X, formerly NBA Twitter, flooded the site with reactions and mixed reviews to Perkins’s comments.

One said: “First time ever I 100% agree with Perk.”

Another felt: “I agree, and it looks like Bron still got years left to play.”

A third expressed: “The true goat DIDN’TDIDN’T have to chase rings at 38 because he had them.”

And a fourth: “Goat of longevity. If Jordan had the same healthcare available to him, he’d be there too.”
