A royal expert says the Duchess of Sussex is concerned her children will not have a relationship with their cousins.

A royal expert claims Meghan Markle fears her children Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet will be estranged from their cousins.

Since Prince Harry and Meghan’s departure from life as working royals in 2020, the family has settled in Montecito, California.

Their son, Archie, was only a year old at the time of their move, while their daughter, Lilibet, has spent her entire life in the United States.

Speaking to the Mirror, Royal commentator Tom Quinn said: “She is also really worried that her children will have no real relationship of any kind with their cousins George, Charlotte and Louis Meghan loves the idea of having a big happy family and hates it when people describe her childhood and her family as dysfunctional. She’s terrified history is going to repeat itself.

“A friend of the couple one of Meghan’s few aristocratic friends from her time in the UK – told me Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK as working royals.”

Meghan and Harry’s ties with the Royal family have been under strain in recent years, particularly following contentious remarks made during interviews, their Netflix series, and in Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’, which was published last year.

The couple’s revelations have further strained the relationship between Harry and his elder brother William.

In the coming month, Harry is set to return to the UK to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

The Duke will deliver a speech at the special service commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 8.

It remains unconfirmed whether Meghan will accompany Harry or if he will travel alone, leaving Meghan in California with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

Meghan is believed to be reluctant to visit the UK, while Harry has only made a few trips since they stepped back from Royal duties four years ago.

The Duke of Sussex’s impending visit follows his recent legal defeat in an appeal against the High Court’s UK security ruling in February.

In 2020, the British government informed him that he would not receive the same type of publicly funded police protection when in the UK after relinquishing his status as a working member of the Royal family.
