The first cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Michael of Kent is a non-working royal and stays relatively under the radar in the UK.
The late Queen Elizabeth II’s first cousin, Prince Michael of Kent, has accrued an estimated net worth of £32million, according to Yahoo Finance, despite being a non-working royal and staying relatively under-the-radar in the UK.
Prince Michael of Kent was born on July 4, 1942, to Prince George and Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark. Although he was seventh in line to the throne when he was born, he is now 52nd in line to the throne.
Like many other members of the Royal Family, the Prince is involved in around 100 charities and organisations and on average he undertakes about 200 public working engagements for the charity sector, funded by his own household.
These vary from his interest in transport, to his passion for Russia, including when he led a rally of Bentleys from Brooklands Museum in the UK to Moscow, raising more than £25K for the Children’s Fire and Burns Trust.
Prince Michael’s staggering net worth is more than Princess Anne, Princess Kate and Prince Edward combined, who are each worth a respective £8million.

Educated at Eton, Prince Michael proved something of a linguist, and in addition to being fluent in French he had a “working knowledge” of German and Italian.
He also became the first member of the Royal Family to learn Russian, of which he is a qualified interpreter. After Eton, he went to Sandhurst, before serving in the military for 20 years.
The prince’s bloodline also extends to the Romanovs, the last imperial family of Russia. His grandmother was first cousin to Nicholas II, making Michael a first cousin twice removed of the last Russian tsar.
When he married the German divorcée, Baroness Marie Christine von Reibnitz, known today as the Princess Michael of Kent, he was forced to give up his place in the line of succession, but was later reinstated.
Prince and Princess Michael of Kent have two children, Oxford-educated banker Lord Frederick Windsor, who is married to Peep Show star, Sophie Winkleman, and their daughter, Lady Gabriella Kingston was married to the late Thomas Kingston.

In 2006, Prince Michael sold his £5.75million home and the couple now lives in a smaller apartment at Kensington Palace.
The couple were both present at the Coronation of King Charles on May 6, 2023.
Other than the occasional royal appearance, Prince Michael has had a long military career and supported around 100 charities and organisations, according to the Royal Family official website.
