They say all good things eventually will end, and the same will remain true when ESPN brings a close to one of its longest-running shows.
The worldwide leader in sports will reportedly cancel the iconic show “Around the Horn” in the summer of 2025 and replace it with a new program.
Several sources told the New York Post’s Ryan Glasspiegel in the summer of this year that the show was going away, but now, months later, it is officially being confirmed.
There was no reason for the end, and the network decided not to comment.
ESPN launched “Around the Horn” in 2002. When it first began, Max Kellerman hosted it.
The premise of the show was quite simple, as the daily show featured a rotating cast arguing about the topics of the day and a scoring system that was never explained.

Tributes Pour In For The End of Popular ESPN Show ‘Around The Horn’
ESPN’s long-running and highly popular debate show Around the Horn is approaching its final buzzer.
According to Ryan Glasspiegel of the NY Post, ESPN plans to cancel Around The Horn in the summer of 2025.
Tony Reali has hosted Around the Horn since 2004, having taken over the role from Max Kellerman.
Soon after the news, many took to social media to honor the popular show.
“I was an intern at Around the Horn in college. I’m forever grateful for learning how to think about presenting topics thanks to that experience,” one fan wrote on X.
“Around the horn-PTI combo was amazing in 2006. Haven’t watched in years but a lot of talent came out of Around The Horn,” one fan added about the end of the show.
‘Sad to see this. Always enjoyed watching Around the Horn,” one fan added.
